If you follow me on Twitter, you will have probably seen me talking about going to Vegas! I went when I was a child and I have been so keen to go back ever since, partly because I’m now legal to do anything I want over there haha! I love to travel, and America is the place I want to explore the most.
So last March, me and my boyfriend booked an 8 day trip to Sin City for September 2013. I spent the next 5 months getting majorly excited and basically talking non-stop about it, so here is my photo diary of the first 4 days!
Day 1
Day one was our travelling day, we booked our holiday through Virgin Atlantic, and the total flight time was 11 hours. My dad dropped us off at Gatwick bright and early and we finally got to our destination, The Venetian Hotel and Casino about 15 hours later!
I was majorly excited that the hotel room had it’s own vanity mirror and stool, it even lit up! Needless to say I wasted no time in unpacking my make up and displaying it nicely! After that we had a quick dinner, and pretty much crashed out after a very long day.
Day 2
On Day 2 we decided to tour the strip, checking out some of the hotels and also taking a trip up the replica Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel. The strip does look quite tightly packed together, but once you walk it you find things are actually very far apart. All of the casinos are massive resorts that take up acres of space, and you find yourself walking miles and miles before you know it! We also caught the beautiful Bellagio fountain show at night.
Day 3
On day 3 the weather took a turn for the worst and it chucked it down! It apparently only rains for 2 weeks a year in Vegas so we got really unlucky! We decided to check out Madame Tussauds which was inside our hotel whilst we waited for the weather to calm down.
Day 4
Day 4 was our shopping day, we went to the Las Vegas outlets, and then had a look around the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace, not forgetting Sephora. There’s a popular drinks company that sells yard sticks of cocktail in Vegas called Fat Tuesday, so I got a half yard stick of Margarita, and ended up stumbling back to the hotel after downing it a bit too quickly (lightweight)..In the evening we had a little wander down the strip, and I took some more photos.
