Disapointing Products: L’Oreal Paris Infallible Primer

Every now and then you buy a product on a whim, and it turns out to be, well, disappointing. L’Oreal Paris Infallible Primer Matte Base was one of these products unfortunately.

I was looking for a new primer that would help keep my oily skin at bay. I had been using the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and had come to the end of it. Although I loved it, it is extremely pricey at £52 for 30ml. So when I stumbled across this primer in Boots that claimed to minimise shine, mattify the skin and give it a velvet touch for £7.99 in a large tube it was definitely confirmed as more purse friendly option.

The first thing I’ll say about this product is that it feels so greasy to the touch. I applied it before I put my foundation on, and after I’d applied my foundation and moved on to my eyebrows it was literally slipping off my skin, my eyebrows were all smeary and overall it was a hot mess.

I definitely didn’t notice it minimising my pores and unfortunately I felt more greasy and oily than I usually do. I was only using a small amount of the product but the oilyness prevailed.

Has anyone else tried this product? I’m still forever looking to find a primer to solve my oily skin woes!
