My Favourite Long Wearing Lip Products

Long wearing lip products are my fav, having to re-apply lipstick every time I’ve had a drink or something to eat can get annoying really fast, which is why I always opt for something that has a bit of staying power.

Browsing through my drawers the other day I realised I’d accumulated quite a large number of these types of lip products, so here are my 5 favourites that I find myself reaching for time after time.

First up is the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in ‘Funk’, I absolutely love this product as firstly it’s so affordable (only £3!) This lip product comes with a doe foot applicator and is actually surprisingly easy to apply, it lasts for ages and is a fantastic budget product.

Next up is the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolour in the shade ‘addiction’, again the applicator is similar to the MUA offering and it goes on just as well. The price point is slightly higher at £8.99 but I have to say I much preferred the shades available in this range.

Another favourite is the e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color in Rich Red below, this comes in the form of a retractable pencil. It dries down to a matte finish and is actually quite moisturising. It’s easy to apply precisely due to the pointed tip. I bought this in CVS in New York but I think the price point was around $3-4 – so very affordable.

I love the Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Stain in the shade ‘Cherry Nectar’, this lip stain is long lasting, and has a really lightweight texture. It barely feels like you are applying anything to your lips, it’s not sticky and layers up really well. Again this is quite moisturising, and totals about $14

Last on my list is the Rogue Edition Velvet by Bourjois in the shade ‘Frambourjoise’, again another doe foot applicator, this goes on fairly sheer so it needs to be built up, but it’s a really nice “your lips but better” colour and one I find myself reaching for regularly.
