Betty’s Christmas Countdown Party 2015

This week me and my friend Kat who is also a fellow blogger and very talented dolls house creator went along to the Betty Magazine Christmas Countdown party. Betty Magazine’s philosophy is for people to embrace who they are and celebrate it. Empowering and unifying women with a youthful state of mind and a nostalgic heart.

Kat even had an interview about her business and a piece she designed for Betty published in the magazine which you can read here. So when the opportunity came up to go to their Christmas party, we couldn’t say no!

Our first port of call was learning how to make flower bouquets with Harriet Parry – I must admit I did have a little help here from the lady herself – all of the flowers smelt so good. Harriet makes some stunning floral headpieces and her site is well worth a look, I am now dreaming of wearing a flower crown everywhere I go.

From there we went over to “Soak” which are a range of individual serve cocktails. We tried the Rhubarb Seltzer cocktail mixed with Rhubarb juice and served with crushed Rhubarb and Custard sweets around the rim of the glass – very tasty but it went down far too easily! I think I downed mine in about 2 minutes which me and Kat found very amusing!

The rest of the evening was filled with tasty cake pops and chocolates, and we also got a chance to enter a competition to win 3 Boden items of our choosing. There were so many lovely shoes, glitter, velvet and embellishments perfect for the festive season – I’m remaining hopeful I might win something because really you can never really have too many pairs of sparkly shoes!

Thanks Betty Magazine for the great night!
