Most of us have had some form of bleach applied to our hair at some point. As a teen I went through a faze of getting regular half-heads of blonde highlights, which although looked nice absolutely killed my hair. My hair was as dry as the sahara desert and full of split ends. As a result my only dry hair remedy was to have most of it cut of to try and restore it to a healthier state.
I’ve tried a multitude of different deep conditioning treatments and dry hair remedies. From hair masks to leave in treatments most of them just leave my hair feeling a bit “meh”, and I usually end up with slightly greasy, thick feeling hair due to build up of product.
I’d heard rumblings about the reincarnation mask by Bleach around the blogosphere and on a whim one day in Boots I decided to check it out. The product states that it resurrects and hydrates thirsty, bleached and coloured hair. This was perfect for me as over Christmas I had a slight blonde balyage applied. The mask is enriched with sunflower seed extract and micro wheat proteins, so it claims it’ll give you vibrant colour, less fading and a lovely shine.
So How Did It Perform?
I love this product. Absolutely love it. After shampooing my hair i’ll comb it through the ends. I then place a shower cap on my hair for about 10-20 minutes depending on how much of a rush I’m in. Once the time is up I’ll rinse it well under the shower head and my once dry hair is left feeling silky smooth.
How Often Do I Use It?
It depends on how dry my hair is feeling. I can use it any number between once a week to a couple of times a week.
Is There Any Product Comparable To This?
Honestly for me there isn’t. I’ve used Aussie’s 3 minute miracle for years and it’s OK but this product really leaves it in the dust. The only thing I’d improve would be the packaging. It can be a bit fiddly and annoying to get the product out once it starts running low, but you can’t have it all!
How Much Is It?
It’s £6 for 200ml of product. It’s worth noting that I managed to pick up a couple the other day for £1.50 per tube in Boots as they were on sale! So definitely have a look in your local if you get a chance!
Thanks for the shiny, soft hair Bleach London!
