The Best Concealers For Dark Circles Under Your Eyes

It’s no great secret that many of us suffer from the dreaded dark circles. Mine have been so bad at times when I haven’t been wearing make up someone has asked me if I have a black eye! As a result I’ve become quite well versed in hiding the bad boys and have tried A LOT of concealers along the way.  So here is my exhaustive list of THE BEST concealers for dark circles under your eyes. Trust me when I say you need to look no further than these if you’re looking to cover those pesky eye bags!

Tarte Shape Tape – £19 – Light

I may as well start with the best of the bunch. I’ve only recently started using this concealer but let me tell you, it lives up to the hype. It’s marketed as a contouring concealer but I use it predominantly for my under eyes. It comes in a huge range of shades – with my colour being ‘light’. It blends effortlessly and doesn’t crease. I apply it using a beauty blender and a little goes a long way. As with all of my concealer, I always set with the Laura Mercier secret brightening powder and it does the trick! After a long day at work it hasn’t never slipped off or gone flaky.

Unfortunately it’s out of stock in most shades on QVC. So I buy mine from Tarte.com directly. Usually shipping is free if you spend over £40ish, so you only pay for import duties!

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer – £19.50 – Fair

Next up is the amazing concealer by, you guessed it, Amazing Cosmetics! This is a very thick, high coverage concealer and I find it works best if you thinly layer it. I put a small dot under my eye and blend it out and keep doing it until I’m happy with the coverage.

Kat Von D – Lock It Concealer (Sephora Exclusive) – $25 – Light 16

This was my go to concealer for so long. It’s highly pigmented and full coverage. It’s also said to be water resistant. Kat Von D’s offering is very easy to blend and has a creamy consistency, I’d say somewhere in between Tarte shape tape and the amazing concealer. I was really sad to find out this concealer has been discontinued by Kat Von D recently, so it’s not really going to be available in stores much longer. If you do find yourself in Sephora though see if you can grab some of these before they’re gone!

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer (NW20) – £18

This concealer is extremely lightweight. The pump does get on my nerves a bit as it dispenses a lot of product. However, once dispensed you are left with a light, natural looking medium to full coverage concealer. Due to the fact it’s very light it blends very easily.

So those are my picks! They help me go from looking like I’ve done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson to fairly well rested in a matter of seconds. What are your go to concealers for when you’ve had a few too many late nights? I’m always on the lookout for more!
