It’s no secret that I love a good lip product. When said lip product is a matte it’s even better. So you can imagine my excitement when I got the chance to try out the new Bourjois Rouge Velvet The Lipstick range for free from Influenster!
These new lipsticks from Bourjois complete your look with a pigmented and matte finish that is set to last. I received all 12 shades in the range, and you can see they go from pretty pinks to more dramatic berry shades, making them perfect for any occasion.
One thing I loved about these lipsticks was the unique applicator. Quite often I find lipstick a bit awkward to apply, the bullet is really bulky and its hard to make it look nice and neat. These new offerings from Bourjous come with a “tear drop” lip bullet, which aims to provide greater precision when you are applying your lipstick.
As previously mentioned the lipstick provides a matte finish. Meaning it doesn’t smudge. As always I like to give my lipsticks a little test when eating and drinking, and these performed surprisingly well. There was little to no transfer when I had a drink and after eating a large portion of colour still remained. It is worth noting that I found darker shades had a better wear time than lighter shades. But that’s probably because they’re more intense in colour in the first place.
My lips didn’t feel massively dry either. Wear was comfortable and there was no nasty flaking which I have suffered from in the past! The lipsticks are said to give 24 hours of wear. I can’t say I’ve ever worn a lipstick for 24 hours but it’s good to know should you ever be in a situation where you want your lip game to be on point all day and all night.
The Swatches – Bourjois Rouge Velvet The Lipstick

Berry formidable – A deeper burgundy
Magni-fig – This berry tone is perfect for a night out

Rubis cute – a classic, timeless red shade
Joli carminois – Another red with brighter orange tones
Abricodabra – A peachy/reddy colour

Hey Nude ! – A very beige nude lip (I don’t really like nude lips because I’m so pale but feel this could look great on those with a deeper skin tone)
