Brows. They’re a pretty hot topic on the beauty blogging scene. Everyone is set on having those perfectly sculpted, natural looking arches. I had the chance to try out some products from Billion Dollar Brows recently and thought I’d share my opinion on how they shape up to other brow products I have used.
Brow Duo Pencil
The first item I tried out was the brow duo pencil. This is a two in one product that combines a highlighter and concealer.
The lighter of the shades, the highlighter adds definition to the brow bone and gives an instant lift. The formulation of the product is very creamy so I found it went on easily and blended nicely. I used a small flat brush to blend the product into my brow bone which helped to frame and define my eyebrows.
The pencil also comes with a concealer, the shade is said to be universal – said to work with any skin tones. It was actually a bit too dark for me as I am very pale. I wasn’t able to use it for things like dark circles etc but it did work for adding a little extra definition above my eyebrow.
Overall I really liked this pencil. Sometimes I will use eyeshadow to add a bit of a highlight to my brow bone but I think going forward I’ll be using the pencil. It gives me a much softer matte look instead of adding loads of shimmer like an eyeshadow would.
This brow gel is a clear product that helps to lock in your look. It’s a great product to ensure your eyebrows are looking top dollar all day long. In the past I have used Benefit’s “ready, set, brow”. However sometimes I found my eyebrows got a little flaky after a while of wear time.
To apply the Billion Dollar Brows brow gel I just swept the wand over my filled in eyebrows. I usually use Anastasia dipbrow to fill in my brows and I found these 2 products worked well together.
The finished look with the gel gave a nice long lasting hold. It wasn’t flaky and it didn’t make my eyebrows feel crusty and stiff. All hairs were sat exactly how they should be.
