Does anyone else always feel the need to buy into a new hyped product?! Something new or quirky hits the makeup market and I NEED to get my hands on it to try. Enter the new I Heart Revolution Multi Liner. It’s makeup in a clickable pen guys, A CLICKABLE PEN. Like those ones we used to have at school, remember!
I Heart Revolution Multi Liner
I’m a big fan of Revolution Beauty and love the quirky and fun products that they keep bringing out at a price point that is accessible for most people. The “mystical mermaid” collection was also at the top of my list to try and I’ll talk about 2 of those lipsticks a bit further on in the post!
The pen is basically just like you’d remember it from back in your school days. It’s fairly chunky to hold and operates by the user selecting the colour they’d like from the buttons at the top. Once the button is pressed you have to twist the pen to reveal the makeup inside.
The pen features one lip liner and three eyeliners. In black, brown and nude. The lip liner is also a nude colour but a bit deeper and pinker. As you can see from the photo below, once you twist the pen and the product appears it is quite tubular. I like my eyeliner to be fairly precise so I found I had to doodle with it a bit to get it into more of a shape that worked to create a sharper line.
The formulation of the product is very smooth and creamy. It’s very easy to smudge the product should you wish to create a more messy eye look. Overall I thought it was a super nifty little product to keep in my bag so I always had 3 choices of liner on the go! For £5 it was worth it for the gimmick alone. The pen is also available in “bright” and “nude” variations.
I Heart Revolution Metallic Lips
The next products I picked up were these ‘I heart revolution’ metallic lip products in “siren” – the emerald green shade and “deep sea” the denim blue shade. I have to say I am LIVING for these lip products. The metallic finish is amazing, if a little drying but they are just so different!
I’ll let the swatches below speak for themselves but they are so pigmented and glimmering. My favourite has to be “siren” as I’ve never worn a green lip before, but I am a total convert. I am looking forward to creating some fun lips with these babies! The best thing? They are £3! Only THREE POUNDS. I have seen a similar dupe to “siren” from Anastasia Beverly Hills in shade “requiem” which comes in at a pricey £20, so this is an absolutely amazing dupe.
Revolution Beauty, please keep it up with all of these amazing releases. I’m already a huge fan of the conceal and define concealer and cannot wait to see what is next!
