I’ve been meaning to write up a little review of this gift set I received at….Christmas (oops!) for a while. Although it’s not for sale in this format any more It was more about the sheer beauty and craftsmanship of the Dior lipsticks which I’m sure carries through whatever the collection. So here goes my ever so slightly delayed review!
The Rouge Dior precious rocks couture lipstick set features 6 full sized shades. There is one proper full size lipstick which comes in the proper casing and then 5 lipstick bullet refills. The full-size lipstick is in shade 999. The casing is black and contains a silver embossed band so it looks very luxury!

The shades available in the set are as follows:
- 999 which is a classic red matte
- 772 classic matte which is a deeper rose shade
- 464 ambitious matte a deeper red with hints of brown
- 962 poison matte a deep purple toned lipstick
- 743 rouge zinnia another easy to wear red
- 434 promenade a classic nude
The Rogue Dior formula is said to provide 16 hours of comfort. Thus preventing those nasty dry lips and colour streaking. The formula is available in both matte and satin finishes. The formulation of the product is enriched with mango butter to hydrate and something called “aroelat amphira” for its revitalising properties.
The lipsticks did make a beautiful gift, and to make things even better the case that they came housed in also doubled up as a clutch bag! I found the formula extremely comfortable on the lips and the coverage was everything I expected from a brand like Dior. The packaging is really eye catching and the pigmentation is supreme.
I think my favourite shade is 999 which is the classic red matte – you can just never go wrong! Have you ever tried a Rouge Dior lipstick?
