Isn’t it so satisfying after you’ve cleansed your face to put on a face mask? For me it’s like the icing on the cake of a full skincare routine. I was recently given the chance to review the Daytox volcanic mud and peel off mask and couldn’t resist.
Daytox wasn’t a brand I’d heard of before but after a bit of investigation I found out that they use plant-based formulation and high quality active ingredients to make sure you get the best results. There’s a key ingredient in their formula called “biodtox”. It’s a skin detoxifier that uses a blend of broccoli, aloe vera and citrus. Apparently when these ingredients are combined it stimulates the detoxification of the skin. “Biodtox” stops free radicals forming and protects the skin against stress. These are some pretty big claims, so did the products live up to expectation?
Daytox Peel Off Mask
This is a black charcoal mask. Combining biodtox, charcoal and vitamin b5 its aim is to absorb excess sebum and give an intense deep cleanse. Used frequently it stops blackheads forming. I have pretty problem skin and it was recommended that I use it up to 3 times a week. It’s one of those really satisfying peely masks and I have to say I got great pleasure every time I removed it. I kept it on for about 30 minutes until it hardened and was ready to peel off. Instantly my skin felt soft and clean. I’m going to continue using it to see if it clears up my blackheads – a tough job!
Daytox Volcanic Mud
This mask has 2 uses. It can be used as a daily cleansing foam or a gentle purifying mask. It has a lovely soft texture. Containing mineralised volcanic mud it deeply cleanses the skin while the volcanic mud absorbs excess oil. It’s ideal for my oily skin as it gets rid of shine. The ingredients here include bamboo powder and vitamin E. I like to use this one before applying makeup whereas the peel off mask is a great option for before bed cleansing.
