I was recently contacted by the Somerset Toiletry Co and asked I’d like to review some of their bath and body range. As a lover of all things ‘self care’ nice smelling shower gels and body lotions are right up my street – I couldn’t say no!
The brand seeks to produce great smelling, honestly priced toiletries. My parcel came well packaged and contained a body lotion and shower gel in the ‘freesia and pear’ scent. The bottles are an excellent size and you get plenty of product.
500ml of product is contained in the bottles, and they are priced at a reasonable £7.95 each. The scent is fresh yet not overpowering.
I applied the lotion after my evening shower and found that it sunk in quickly and didn’t leave a sticky residue. It contains a blend of avoacado oil, shea butter, coconut oil, baobab seed oil and rosehip oil – lots of oils!! Ensuring you’re left with hydrated skin. The shower gel lathered nicely and left me feeling clean and refreshed after my shower.
One thing I really like about the brand is the fact that the products are cruelty-free and as such are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, their formulation is also registered by the vegan society. This also means the brand does not sell into China.
Overall I really enjoyed these products, I think they’d make a lovely little present, or just a treat to yourself! In addition to this the packaging looks really upmarket and the products would definitely be ones I wouldn’t mind leaving on display in my bathroom.
